Why did I start this?

In the middle of renovating hall/stairs/landing, plastered yesterday so dust everywhere from that (despite hoovering and mopping)

I have also had a fuck it moment and launched into redecorating kitchen/diner. Been sanding walls so dust everywhere here too.

I know both areas will look amazing when done but just paused for a quick sarnie, looked around and it is all such a mess. Quite tired now and thinking, why did I start this?! I could be whiling away the afternoon on the sofa MNetting

Just a mini indulgent moan

I feel like this about our kitchen and dining room. It's at the stage where it gets worse before you turn the corner and it starts to come together.

I've just had a shower - I realised that the only time I had sat down since 8am was to go to the toilet!

But the corner has been turned!

All that's left to do in the kitchen is paint the ceiling, feature wall and woodwork.

That can wait until another day!

Have a break - you can try to do too much. We are removing the wall units in our kitchen today. But at least yesterday I persuaded DP we really needed to move a small sofa upstairs out of the way and dismantle and move the dining table. This means we are only navigating around building materials.

I start decorating tomorrow. I've picked out what I need. Made a list. Diy store tomorrow then start stripping. Of course working around night shifts. I'm trying to figure out what mind I was in to paint a busy dinning room white?

3 days later made it to diy store. Bought totally the opposite of what I had seen , so total new colour scheme. Start tomorrow
