Decoration around mirror??

Hi my Dd 12 has a lovely big deal from ikea with a whiteboard on the back ive ordered a acrylic mirror to go over the whiteboard as she spends a lot of time experimenting with hair and make up. There will be a gap of around 3.5cm either side and a larger gap around bottom (where her work pencil pots etc are)
I really want to make it look lovely and grown up but unsure what decorations to put around mirror like a frame per say and what lighting if any I could add around/above..... Ideas anyone??

There's a shop near me with a great mirror where they've stuck those flat backed large glass beads/stones all round the edge, all multi coloured. Not sure what you'd use to stick them on with, it almost looks like there's putty in between the glass stones.
