Which white for walls and woodwork

We are shortly moving into a new house and I want to paint our bedroom white (perhaps Dulux Timeless which I have seen recommended?). We haven't painted walls before as we usually wallpaper so need help! Should we paint the woodwork and fitted cupboard doors in the same white as the walls so they blend in (the actual bedroom doors are oak) or should the woodwork be brilliant white? Also what about the ceiling, should that be brilliant white?

I would appreciate any help.

I have Dulux Timeless in the bathroom. It is more of a pale cream rather than white. I have used Dulux Cotton White on the ceilings (matt) and woodwork (satinwood) as it is less harsh than brilliant white.

I have also used Cotton White throughout rooms. Living room is matt for ceilings and walls then satinwood again on the woodwork. It works really well against oak doors, floors and furniture.

My favourite for woodwork, unless you want proper vintage look with chalk paint, is brilliant white satin. Own brand is fine too. Fresh and very slight sheen. Easy to apply (more so than silk or gloss), one small tin goes a long long way.

Oh and Dulux is brilliant for paint for the walls, we've done most of our house in Goose Down and honestly it was a joy to decorate!

I always paint ceilings in brilliant white.

I have one bedroom in our house painted brilliant white and another Dulux White Cotton. Personally I prefer the brilliant white one. The White Cotton paint to me looks white with a subtle hint of magnolia.

I painted the woodwork in brilliant white woodsheen in both rooms.

Do you like the look of your existing bedroom and cupboard doors? If so, no need to paint them! They will look just fine.

We use Crown Milk White on our woodwork and ceilings (actually Laura Ashley Chalk White on some of the ceilings, but we can't get that any more - the shades are both a slight off white which tones with cream and grey, depending on the light). It's a lot less cold than Brilliant White.

I'm about to paint my dining room which does not get much light, I would like to paint it a very muted pale grey green and would like to know which paint colour and make you would suggest and also which shade of white for the dado and skirting boards
