Where to find a large frame without breaking the bank?

Hi my sister bought me a world map for a Christmas present. However i am having issues finding a frame for it as the poster is 100 cm by 140 cm. I asked in the local framers and the cheapest one they did was £110. I don't want to have to spend that much on a frame if I dont have to. Does anyone know of anywhere where I can get one from? I am in Northamptonshire if thats any help.

ebay maybe? Ikea have them for about 30 pounds. Amzon is sure to have something too.

Do you need to frame it? We had a huge poster on photographic paper, it was 120cm x 180cm and we hung it using the 3m Command velcro hanging strips. As long as the map is on decent paper, you can use loads of them and it doesn't sag anywhere. And you can just peel them off the walls afterwards. A frame that size is going to be some serious weight as well!

Buy a pair of poster-hangers.

This sort of thing.

The range do a lot of frames at very reasonable prices

Homesense? Even if you find a picture the same size in the clearance bit, you old grab a bargain there.

Watching as have the same issue. IKEA don't do that size except with pictures already in them - so not that cheap.

Take a tape measure and trail round the charity shops, especially ones which do furniture. You can always paint a frame to make it suit your room.

The Range have really big ones. I needed a 100 x 70 black frame - it was £13, framing place was quoting me £90!

The Range or Dunelm would be my first stop.

B&M have a lot of big frames reasonably priced. Not sure how big, but worth a look.
