Bathroom refit

Hi,

We're planning on having our bathroom ripped out and refitted. Totally crap at DIY so we need someone in to do the whole job. But I had a quote today that I think is a bit much: £4500 to rip out the existing bathroom, refit the new plus plastering and a bit of feature tiling. This price is for labour only - we'd have to buy all the taps, suite etc on top. Is this really expensive?! I'm in the South East. TIA

That does sound too much. How long do they say the work will take? We are in the south east and have just had a quote of £3000 for ripping out old bathroom and fitting new. Ours includes a tiled shower cubicle that will have to be knocked down.
I would get another quote.

We paid £2400 - took nearly 2 weeks (fully tiled which i think is what takes most of the time)
