How to hang a light fitting like this?

Does anyone know how I'd go about hanging a light fitting like this? I want a pendant light centrally above the dining table but the actual light fitting is about a metre off. I'm guessing I need a longer version of this www.diy.com/departments/mk-white-pendant-set-l150-mm/839676_BQ.prd and then just a hook. But not sure where I can get the longer wire. Hoping there is a simple way to diy rather than have to get an electrician in.

It's fairly straightforward to change the cable. You can buy any length you like. Coloured cable could look nice. And yes, hang it off a hook.
