I'm moving into a small Victorian terrace house that's been renovate - perhaps over-renovated. The property developers installed spotlights in the small double reception. I'd prefer a central pendant in each part of the double reception - but is it a paint to get rid of them? Should I keep them? They're dimmable. I'd probably rely more on floor lights around the room. I don't really like spotlights and wondering how much I'd notice them when they're not on. But I'd miss having the central pendant - as an aesthetic thing only. Maybe I can put a 'fake' central light or something but would that look silly if you can see all the spotlights. It would also save me some money to keep the spotlights. Getting rid of them means having to fill in the holes and repaint the ceiling.
