I am in need of some storage in my hallway. Please inspire me with your ideas and pics (if you don't mind).

what kind of storage do you want? Decorative or to actually store shoes/coats etc in?

Ours is too shocking to mention. Think bare plaster walls and manky carpet that doesn't cover all the floor in places. Will be beautiful in a couple of years though! Pinterest is your frien.

Gah, I'm just lurking for photos too! We have, oddly, 2.5 hallways in our new house- I desperately need some storage. Currently have a big square hall inside the front door, where the pushchair lives, then a little rectangular space (the original wooden front door to the house sort of separates this from the first hall) - where I keep a big mountain of shoes for 5 people, wellies, trainers etc, then another doorway into the stairs which has an under stairs cupboard.
I'm lurking for ideas because I want enough storage for all of he stuff without it looking like a shoe shop!
Pegs or hooks are the most accessible, but then also the most on view. I saw some nice metal hooks with initials on, so considered getting our 5 initials on one wall for our daily coat, then something hidden away for the rest.
What have you seen that you like op?

We're buying a place in the new year. The vendors had a really handy IKEA Hemnes shoe unit in the hall. Think I'll get exactly the same thing!

There's been a shoe cupboard on groupon for the last few days, £29.99 which looks similar to the ikea one

Well, here is a photo of the storage in our hall-it's roomy, but a magnet for dumping and forgetting about coats, jackets and shoes, which means trawling through the contents every so often for recycling. The good thing about it, though, is an array of small cuphooks for keys, so we never have car keys etc flung on the hall table
