Anyone got a Triple Sleeper Bunk Bed?

I am talking about a single bed on top and a double bed on the bottom - if you have one are you happy with it, is it sturdy, do kids like it? Any particular shops or brands you can honestly recommend?

Reviews everywhere seem to be pretty mixed, some great ones and some not so great so just looking for and appreciate any advice. thanks.

We have this one

it is currently used by our 7 and 8 year olds who are pretty bouncy wee creatures. It has held up well against their wild ways.
We brought it because of the underbed storage and the fact it can be separated into two nice looking beds.
We previously had a metal one which lasted less than a year.

We had one for a while and it was fine - one of the ones that turned into a sofa on the bottom iirc. Having said that it wasn't used by particularly large children, it was a necessity at the time as we had 3 children in one room so two little ones on the bottom and one on the top! I think we got ours from Argos.

My friend has had one for years - her older two boys share a room and the eldest is pretty tall so a double was ideal plus it's easier to sit on than a traditional bunkbed - no knocking heads on the top bunk. Unfortunately I don't know where hers came from.

ok great thanks for your reply that helps. Just was not sure re quality etc.

The no knocking heads is also a big sell for me, so not too claustrophobic then. Need for a number of reasons, it's for a tall 6 year old who currently sleeps in a double but we need to change the bed as it's quite old now, he says he would like a bunk bed.

The other bed would be for younger brother if they want to sleep in same room sometimes, for friends, for one of us when he is ill etc. so will have a good look and finally make a decision i think.

Watching this thread with interest ... I was looking at this one (I like the storage steps) www.sleeplandbeds.co.uk/white-trio-small-double-bed-bunk-beds-with-storage-stairs

Thanks so much for the one you sent Postlady, I have not seen this one before and looks good for space purposes. Decisions, decisions.. anything else please add to this thread as I really think I need to order in the next month or so.
