What colour to paint Lounge?

It's a beamed room, ingelnook fire place with wood burner, 15ft x 15ft with a cream/beige carpet.

Furniture is a dark brown leather corner sofa and a two seater in the same colour. Other furniture (coffee table, trunk and TV unit) are vintage /quirky. Furnishings country theam - Laura Ashley Mitford Check curtains, sheepskin rugs and various cushions etc.

The room, although quite big is also quite dark. So need a colour for the walls that is warm but also bright.

Decorator rang this morning to say he's starting tomorrow ahh help. Was thinking Eqyptian Cotton but now doubting myself. Crap at this stuff.

Any ideas?

Egyptian cotton would look lovely against a dark sofa and it's neutral enough that you can be versatile and change up your soft furnishings, wall decor etc if you get bored.

My favourite at the minute is Benjamin Moore's Revere Pewter - have a look on Pinterest. It's a lovely, warm greige.
