Do you find this granite too dramatic? i.e. if you were looking around a house and this was in the kitchen, on a big island and round the L-shape of the room, would you think: ew, I need to replace that?
I swooned at it in the shop but now I'm not sure if I'm brave enough (as it's such an expensive part of the re-fit and don't want to get it wrong). It is greenish, not grey. Thank you x

I should say, the word "dramatic" came from a friend and now i can't get it out of my head.

I think it's fine although it depends on your units & the rest of your kitchen.

Go on Pinterest & you can see examples of similar work tops.

It's a beautiful piece of granite. I'd have taken dramatic as a compliment.

If you love it then you will always love it.

Not the colours are neutral enough to be non-dramatic but the pattern adds interest is how I'd describe it.

On an island it will look fab!

I also went for a 'dramatic' granite and although its a love/hate thing - I love it and don't regret my decision at at all :)
Go for it!

I went for a granite with fairly subtle texture and variations, Black Via Lacta, which has milky white variations, but is much more forgiving than a solid and more interesting imo.

However, if money really was no object, I would have had my whole kitchen in Aquarium Granite (name varies, but looks like sliced pebbles), but just went for it as a statement piece on a large window ledge, which I love and so do most people that see it.

Both are black / grey / white in colour and I'd say that it is not the pattern of the granite but the colour that puts some people off.

If you love it though, go for it!
