Which kitchen handles?

So you all helped me choose our kitchen worktop recently...thank you! Now onto handles.

We are going for a grey shaker style kitchen with wood effect laminate. Can't decide between an iron antique cup handle or a rustic antique style brushed silver one! Some pics attached.
Hard to see but the second one has a purposely worn/antique finish. We are having quite light worktops, white ceramic sink and these are the units in pics - light grey.

I much prefer the cup handles. I've always liked them.
The other ones are too modern for me.
Nice kitchen btw Smile

FriedSprout · 09/11/2016 00:35

The cup handles look much more classic and less likely to date imo.

Blossom4538 · 09/11/2016 07:24

Haha, we are def going with the cup handles, but against grey with the worktop we've chosen, unsure whethwr to go
For dark antique iron/pewter - images on left or aged antique silver - image on right? Hard to see detail but can if u zoom in! :-)

With your benchtop and the grey cabinets, I prefer the lighter silver handles on the right. Smile

inmyshoos · 09/11/2016 07:49

Lighter ones definitely.

Blossom4538 · 09/11/2016 14:02

That's what I originally thought but when I google images of grey kitchens, the darker handles are quite striking. Now I'm not sure!

I'm also looking for handles what do you think of this or

mrscrocopop · 11/03/2017 18:09

I like the ones in the first picture x

justaweeone · 11/03/2017 18:13

I like the dark ones
I think they work better with the worktop and will look more striking as you have said
I also think they look more expensive as well as edgier

So nobody is loving my sparkle handles. Maybe DH is right after all. I really wanted a bit of bling

Mapless · 15/03/2017 07:48

I have similar kitchen with dark cup handles. They look fab!

wobblywonderwoman · 15/03/2017 07:49

Dark cup handles.

gluenotsoup · 15/03/2017 07:53

The lighter ones. They look easier to blend other appliances and lighting with. I have chrome cup handles and love them.

HomeExtender · 17/03/2017 16:34

What about getting some where the screws are hidden inside? I prefer the lighter Ines. They will lift the kitchen and match other appliances (kettle, toaster etc) better too.

Dark cup handles.
I have cup handles on cream shaker units - they've been there 14 years, and still look good. Not dated and I'd choose them again.

Afishcalledchips · 25/03/2017 23:07

I vote cup handles too
