environmentally friendly alternative to white spirit / turps?

We're going to paint radiators with gloss paint, can anyone recommend an environmentally friendly alternative to white spirit / turps for cleaning gloss paint off brushes?

Don't use gloss, use water based satinwood paint. Brushes can be cleaned with water. The paint dries more quickly, doesn't have the strong smell and is less likely to yellow over time.
