What to do with kitchen chimney breast...

We have a chimney breast in our kitchen, which our dining table sits up against. Have had a few quotes from local builders and to remove it and a bit of a remodel of our kitchen is eye-wateringly expensive (£50k!). So have decided to save my money but now don't know what to do with the chimney breast, any ideas?

If you're planning to redo the kitchen, then you could put you range in it. I think it gives the kitchen nice character, although you need to make sure there is enough manoeuvring space around it.
