Just in the process of choosing paint colours for our bathroom and would like a nice picture or piece of art for the wall but am lacking inspiration!

What sorts of pictures do you lot have on your bathroom walls?

I have line drawings in my bathroom.

None as annoyingly the walls are all tiled, but I'd have something like this if I could:

In the downstairs loo, I've gone for a pretty simple look and have a couple 'Picassos' on the wall. In the ensuite, above the loo, I've got the pic below as I've had it for years but struggled to find a space for it in the current house.

I have photographs that I have taken on holiday. I am about to paint some of my bathroom turquoise.

No go away

Lovely JoJo

I don't have any art but a mannequin that makes a statement Grin

SillyMoomin · 21/10/2016 22:07

Bit rude laura! Shock

VelvetGreen · 21/10/2016 22:33

Mine is quite like that photo! Teal walls with period fittings. I have quite a few art nouveau prints and some of my own art work, with a few ornate mirrors to bounce the light around.

langlandgirl · 23/10/2016 08:44

try these guys - you can search by theme. Depends if you want a period or pop art - but they have loads.

I've just had this one for my lounge www.allposters.co.uk/-sp/The-Mound-II-Posters_i13801031_.htm

Do they get spoilt by damp/water?

JoJoSM2 · 23/10/2016 11:31

In my bathroom, the picture doesn't get affected but it's a large space with a big window + open plan to the dressing area and The bedroom so the moisure is not na issue. I think I'd be very careful with what I hang if it was a small bathroom, ventilation not great + family of 4 or 5 using the room.

FrickOnAStick · 23/10/2016 13:50

Same as jojo, large room with good ventilation and not used by kids. I wouldn't hang very precious or very valuable art in bathrooms due to risk of steam / humidity damage (mine are ltd ed prints).

thanks, that's what I was wondering!
