Kitchen cupboard paint colours

Fitting a new non-fussy shaker kitchen (ie not too country kitchen) and debating which colour (s) to paint it. Safest would be cream, but considering cream for cupboards and another shade for island, or even two different shades - one for cupboards and maybe something more bold for island.

Have seen many lovely things on Pinterest but loads seem to focus on variations of the same grey/blue/green shades, usually with paler cupboards and darker island. I like this but concerned it is everywhere and will date.

Any suggestions? Floors will be a mid oak and counters either solid wood to match or Carrara marble (white with pale grey). Keen not to go cold.

You could try out a few colours from Farrow and ball or little green - paint them up on a4 sheets and see what combination you like against samples of flooring and worktops. Personally, Id prefer Carrara on the worktop. Don't worry about the colour dating - the cabinets can be repainted when you fancy a change.

OOh well mine will date then Wink and its only just been finished! I do love it though, so if it dates, I'll paint it then, and love it as it is for now.

I have soft grey on units down one long run, and charcoal (which is very dark) for a large island unit. Also have carrara marble effect (quartz) worktops. So yes, it probably is a bit too everywhere, but I don't really care Wink.

namechangedtoday if you don't mind me asking, what colours specifically did you go for? Were they F&B/Little Greene or ones that the kitchen supplier could provide? It sounds lovely by the way... What carrara marble quartz did you go for? I'm sick of comparing samples

They're just the colours from the kitchen Co but the charcoal is very similar to F&B Railings and the soft grey is similar to Manor House Grey (but slightly more grey). Like this (my kitchen range and colour combination but not my actual kitchen).

Our kitchen is now 8 years old, farrow and ball hardwick white. Attached pics but they're not the best.
Occasionally changes accessories to freshen it up.
