We've just been quoted £6800 for a galley kitchen in the Burford range - - all MDF / laminate and about 6m long each side. Not including any appliances. This seems pricey to me, did anybody else pay similar / less / more?
Thanks.

We have a Howdens. Ours is the Tewkesbury Framed and cost £7k but it a reasonable size. We did not buy appliances or worktops or handles from Howdens. The quality is fab though so I do recommend them

We've paid just under £7k for the glendevon. We have a large kitchen though so lots of units, including a pull out larder unit and combination of cupboards, drawers and corner pullout units as well and bosch dishwasher, upgraded hinges and soft closing.

I paid £3600 for Howden's high gloss, integrated handle range (Clerkenwell range). My kitchen is 6m long and I have units either: side, base and wall. Your price seems far to expensive to me. Some builders only charge Howden's prices, but others add on an extra amount - like a brokerage fee! It's definitely worth getting a quote from another builder. I got my kitchen last October.

Get another quote from someone with a good howdens discount (you could even ask howdens to recommend someone), each builder has their own %age discount with howdens based on what they order. Try and be quick - October is "sale" month. Not advertised though. I know this because I ordered mine on 31st Oct, took delivery at a storage unit for 2 months until it could be fitted and still saved over £4K storage costs included.
