Looking for some inspiration I have this wallpaper in my alcoves and a pale grey on walls, grey carpet pale grey curtains and brown leather sofas. I really want to add a bit of colour with a rug and cushions but don't know what colours will go with it!?

Pale purple or mauve?

It depends if you want a contrasting pop of colour or not. I have similar wall colours and have a teal velvet sofa. So I'd suggest a deep teal kingfisher colour.

This colour?

Definitely mustard/ochre.

I would say pale purple too but a bit richer than lilac

What beautiful wallpaper OP - what is it?

I would add some chrome tones. People forget about it but it does add a 'splash' of something. So chrome art deco/ chrome lamps,/ bedside table and then play with light and darker shades of grey?

I love colour but on this occasion, Is keep it neutral. To avoid the room looking washed out, I'd add a bit of black, e.g. Small amounts in the rug, a trim on the curtains or lampshade, a picture in a black frame etc.

Thanks everyone Smile I've decided to go with mauve and it goes perfectly! Here's the link Deadgood http://www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/superfresco-easy-paste-the-wall-nottingham-wallpaper---white-022329
