Which tiles will go

So if I have kitchen units like the ones in the attached photo and a table and chairs similar to the pic attached, along with white quartz worktops which tiles would go in my kitchen diner? (I also want to extend the tiles into the hall and cloakroom)

I like the look of porcelain wood effect tiles but wonder if it would look too woody and how they would work with the horizontal grain of the units. I am open to other suggestions. We have two messy children and two dogs so want something that won't show every little crumb and paw print. I need to make a decision in the next day or two and feel like I'm going round in circles so all input very gratefully received and much needed!

Do you mean floor tiles or wall tiles?

I think wood effect would be to much wood for the floor, I'd go with big pale sandstone but maybe dark grey slate would also work? (To tie in with the chair seats?)

Oops sorry, should have said floor tiles. Wish we could afford to replace the kitchen and then the flooring choice would be easier!

Personally, I would love to see a splash of colour, like teal or red.

We have these wood effect floor tiles with our wooden table.

I don't think it is too much wood overload. (The kitchen the other end is white and dark grey).

They look nice Here. I just wonder if it will be too much with our kitchen units too (wish we could afford to replace them!) Have you been pleased with them? Are they easy to keep clean?

Yes - we have these in the kitchen/family/dining room and similar but narrower "plank" tiles in the bathroom.

Just a quick hoover/sweep and mop as normal tiles.

They do lots of colours of the wood effect even pale grey or whitewash effect. The tile shop let me take some home to put in the room to see what we liked with the cabinets etc and we could return them.
