Black tile effect Lino in kitchen and dining room...... what colour walls???

We are having black tile effect Lino in the kitchen and dining room . What colour shall we do the walls to brighten it up a little?

My floor is similar: a dark slate design mostly charcoal with a few bits of rusty brown, I have light maple units & charcoal worktops. Kitchen faces east so isn't the lightest/brightest of rooms. I did the walls in Dulux soft apple which looks a little darker & a stronger colour than the shade card would suggest.
I'm ready for a change but haven't found anything else I like that DH agrees with

Perhaps orange or yellow?
