Stripes on walls

Hi Just wondered if anyone had successfully painted stripes on a wall? It will be a white wall with three coloured stripes going across it. Any tips?

Use really good quality tape to section off the layers and be patient when allowing to dry.

I've done this with normal masking tape and Frog tape. Frog tape worked much better, didn't bleed at all.

Also (quite an obvious one!), use a spirit level to mark the lines out on the wall.

I can imagine our ceilings may not be straight which worries me. I wanted the stripes going horizontally around the room

Why not apply horizontal stripes wallpaper? We* did and think it looks good
