Venetian blinds

Has anyone got / had faux wood Venetian blinds? Not sure if it's worth paying the extra (a lot) for real wood ones. From what I could see the faux look pretty similar to the real wood ones.

We have very large faux wood, they are much lighter to pull up than the real wood ones. No problems.
