I bought these from a garden centre thinking they would look lovely in the kitchen and within a fortnight they had died! Any idea what I could put in them instead? Perhaps something a bit hardier!!

Yes to spider plants...even I'm doing well with them!

Ivy??

Devils ivy has larger leaves

String of pearls (senecio rowleyanus) or string of hearts (ceropegia woodii) would both dangle attractively out of the pots and are indoor plants so would survive well.

Big garden centres might have them in the indoor section or maybe eBay.

What about some herbs? They always look healthy and fresh, and useful in a kitchen.
