A truly boring question about paint.

I'd like to paint some large plastic plant pots as cheaply as possible.

Would appreciate advice on what primer to buy, or what paint.

Ideally, these plant pots will end up a soft green.

The sales assistant at B&Q has advised against using paint intended for wood. The only option he had seemed to be a spray, which works out too expensive.

Thanks.

Chalk paint will work. Maybe it won't last forever but it will def work.

Zinsser Primer-Sealer is the best primer.

Are they staying inside or out?

I agree with spray paint actually

Thanks so much for the help.

Went with a mixture of chalk paint varnished over and valspar outdoor spray paint. It cost an arm and a leg but they're done and I hope they stay looking like this :)

Thanks again.
