floating shelf help

Mnetters, I'm needing some help. I have redecorated the kitchen and knocked down a wall etc. I know have a tv in the "living" area and I have been looking for something to put the Virgin box on.

Ideally quite high up under the tv to minimise the cables.

What I'm looking for is white high gloss but I think I fancy something I can put baskets in to hide remotes and other junk that will no doubt accumulate.

The budget is up to £100 but preferably as cheap as possible.

Can you guys help? I've trawled the Internet (on my phone as lap top has met a watery end recently) but had no joy.

Here is a pic of the area where I want the shelf to go and a pic to I've context. Thanks in ad ace oh wise ones!!
Excuse the mess and the washing drying, I'm full of the cold and really just can't be bothered

I can't help re the shelf but just wanted to say that looks gorgeous.

Dfg thank you!! Everyone always says my coupon choices are suspect! And I was panicking when I told DP and the rest of the family I wanted hot pink, grey and white. I think they all like it but just don't want to admit that I was right. ( same happened when I bought bird wallpaper for the lounge!)

It's lovely. You have great colour choices.

This is what it was like before. Amazing what knocking down a wall in an ex council house can do!!

I'm jealous - I'd love a big kitchen like that mine is tiny but there's only me so it's perfectly adequate. Hope you find a shelf

Thank you X

How about a single width Ikea Kallax white shelf unit instead? Would look quite neat against that paper and to the left of the radiator, and means that you don't have to damage the wallpaper.....

If you got their woven baskets, it might be possible to cut holes in the back to feed cables through - though not sure about the fire worthiness of that, so forget I even said it......Confused

DoloresVanCartier · 13/06/2016 16:56

Ha ha poochie I'll speak to DPabout that as that appeals to me (the totally hiding cables bit, not the potential fire!)
