How do I paint the stairwell?

So I have dogleg stairs and the height at the tallest must be 12' I would think. How on earth do I decorate it? I would like to hang paper but think this might be too big a task for me, so maybe painting it.

Any suggestions?

Choose your paint / paper wisely and then hire a decorator.
Don't risk a fall by over-stretching or balancing precariously on the very top of a ladder!

You can buy extendable rollers from b and q and you can duck tape paintbrushes on the end of broom handles to get in nooks etc... I've done it! Not as good as a decorator but Cheaper !

Our stairwell is far too tall for me to do safely so we bit the bullet and paid for professional decorators to do it.

Pay someone to do it. My decorator used two ladders and a board balanced between the two. It looked very precarious to me.

I did ours in a Victorian terrace with extendable roller.
