how would you fix this to the wall?

So I have a heavy, wooden height chart. I can't for the life of me work out how to secure it to the wall. Normal picture hooks are too lightweight. I bought heavy duty hangers but they won't fit in the fucking bastard grooves (see picture attached)
Can anyone help before I reach for the wine and give up in a heap of 'fuck it'

Drill a row to the width of the board, maybe 6-8 holes; Fill with Rawl plugs.

Some nice big screws, leave 1/4-1/2 inch proud of the wall. Hang.

Go and find that wine.
