Zip link beds to stop feeling partner moving at night?
marellocherry25 · 26/05/2016 14:46
I woke up at 3am this morning to find my boyfriend fast asleep doing happy baby pose in bed.....seriously!
I'm sleeping so badly as he's in perpetual motion half the night. I've seen that you can get zip-link mattresses and I wondered if anyone had them and whether they stop movement transmission? I already have a very nice pocket sprung bed but I'm a light sleeper and it's not enough.
Thanks!

Oh you have my sympathies.
Hmm. Not sure is the answer. I am a fairly light sleeper, H bounces as he turns. It's so annoying. I tried pocket-sprung, zip-linked beds and that didn't help much. Couldn't wait to get rid of them but I had spent a fortune on them. Anyway eventually I did get rid of them and bought some kind of a fancy pocket-sprung bed topped with a heap of memory foam, and I don't ziplink them, but I do make the bed as one bed IYKWIM. This is a fairly good solution, and I'm really happy with the bed. But to completely get rid of the bounce factor, a Tempura (I think that's the trade name) bed is the only thing.

I totally understand your pain, it runs in our family. My parents have a Tempur mattress and love it and were able to try it on a 60 night trail - this is the one they have-

But given that I do not have the money for a Tempur bed, my husband and I went for a Sealy after trying it in a local shop, it is not a zip & link but it may be of some use to you? I look forward to going to bed now!

Hope you get some decent sleep soon

I have a tempur and I'd recommend it if you don't want to feel the other person moving

We have a zip&link and I've never noticed DH moving. It is also 6 foot wide, which might help. The only problem is that DD likes to come into our bed in the middle of the night and I think may find the link bit uncomfortable, so sleeps entirely on my side.
