Alternatives to spotlights in low ceilinged bedroom?

We're having a loft conversion. The builder just wants to put spots in the bedroom as the ceiling is relatively too low for a pendant type light. Are there any nice flush light fittings? I'm just not all that keen on the thought of spotlights in the bedroom... TIA

there are lots of low profile led panels and interesting fittings. Try QVS electrical, screwfix and toolstation. Uptightees are also an option.

Wall lights? I'd pick wall lights over a flush ceiling fitting (too bathroomy)

I've got spotlights in my bathroom which I wasn't made on but I love them now but I don't think I'd want them in a bedroom !! As pp said think about wall lights, much softer
