I have been keeping my eye out for these curtains for months and finally got them in the length i wanted but there was only one pair. Can I get away with just one pair or do i need a second pair?

I think 2 would seem very fussy and it's better as it is. The windows are very attractive and the way it is now, they are well framed and accentuated.

Can't see too well, are they floor to ceiling? If so I think one pair is fine and would look lovely when drawn. But they do look a bit odd open.

I think maybe a light filtering shade on each window, in white, would look nice and fill what feels like a gap. Would also provide privacy.

Yes; Maybe gauzy blinds.

Out2pasture · 29/04/2016 04:04

maybe some art work in between the two would make up for the hollow spot.

Sadmother · 29/04/2016 04:05

No, I prefer the simple clean lines you have.

JewryMember · 29/04/2016 04:46

A second pair would be more classy.

JewryMember · 29/04/2016 04:47

I've changed my mind.

CurtainAdvice · 29/04/2016 09:44

Thanks all. Yes they are floor to ceiling. I will stick with just the one pair then and try and get some nice frames for between the two windows. Have been thinking about blinds too. I cant remember what they are called but i like the 'fold up' type.

What Sadmother said

I think adding something (more curtains or pictures) in the middle will make it fussy

If you do get a second set to make them fuller when drawn, I would open them all to the outer sides

Roman blinds. I personally like to keep windows as clear as possible coz that's where your view and light come from. I like your window dressing as is

amarmai · 01/05/2016 17:24

roman blinds that go bottom to top - not the top down. Then you can have privacy and light .

NapQueen · 01/05/2016 17:25

Defiently one pair. Do they close across the whole wall?

Agree a nice print or some sort of wall ornament in the gap.

CurtainAdvice · 01/05/2016 19:18

Yes they close the whole way across. I got two lovely (and cheap!) frames yesterday to go in the middle which i think will break it up nicely once theyre up.

A mirror between the Windows would look great.

HeirOfNothingInParticular · 02/05/2016 20:13

You could do a pair at each window, and it would look elegant, but I would say you would need two separate curtain poles. If you did put 4 curtains on existing pole, it would look old fashioned, like when back in the day people would hang 4 single width curtains in a bay window. I think the current arrangement looks fine though

Mcchickenbb41 · 02/05/2016 22:15

Hi I have Windows like this prob a bit smaller. They have a Roman blind on each. Then one set off ceiling to floor curtains. If they were much bigger and slightly further apart I would have considered a pair on each window.

ALaughAMinute · 02/05/2016 22:18

Two Roman blinds would look lovely. Have a look on the Laura Ashley website to get some ideas.

Bambooshoots14 · 03/05/2016 07:32

I would of gone for 2 pairs
