To all those with Dulux 'Timeless' walls...

What colour is your woodwork?

Thanks to the power of Mumsnet I have discovered 'Timeless'. I think I will use it in my narrow Terraced House Hallway and up 3 flights of stairs and landings. I wanted something a bit more 'interesting' but am losing the will to live so whiteish it is.

What shall I paint the skirtings, dado rail where there is one, coving etc etc. Just pure white eggshell or something else?

Any ideas welcome! Thanks!

We have timeless walls and timeless satinwood for woodwork!

I had it mixed in eggshell too! It's lovely.

So much I did it twice Wink

Try Dulux Light & Space, it's like Touche Eclat for walls as it reflects light so smaller/darker spaces feel a bit airier. We have Desert Wind walls in our terrace hall, stairs and landings with white woodwork and a cream carpet.

Also got it hallway and stairs. - got white satinwood banister, skirtings and door frames, got a man in to put new handles on the doors and paint the doors as I was losing the will to live after the lengthy process of stripping dark varnish from the stairs. The doors should have also been white but the painter mistakenly used Timeless eggshell reserved for another customer. He did offer to repaint but I just wanted it done and dusted.. I wish I had got the doors done in white - like the crisp contrast.

Egyptian cotton satinwood. It's beautiful Smile

I had a room painted in timeless but didn't like the effect next to white woodwork so repainted it.

Thanks all- no consensus whatsoever then Smile!

Farrow and ball pointing in eggshell on our woodwork

Twooter- did you repaint the room or the woodwork?
Is Timeless on the wall and wood a bit 'samey'.

We're having a mix of F&B and Dulux. If I have F&B on the woodwork and Dulux on the walls suspect the decorators will get very flumoxed...so far rooms are either one or another. I have a whole house to do- it is a nightmare.

Thanks for your suggestions.

I would go with pure white on the skirting, dado rails and coving, but I think the convention with coving is to go for a matt finish, with gloss, satinwood or eggshell for skirting and dado rails only.

Repainted the walls. Had wood finish before but really prefer the woodwork white.
