a single bed which turns into a double

Does anyone know where I can buy such a thing? I am looking for the double bed to be that - i.e. not two mattresses at different heights. Thanks very much.

Slightly off topic but to address the two mattresses and the gap issue, Dh and I have a zip and link superking bed so essentially two 3ft mattresses zipped together.

We have a mattress topper and then a waterproof mattress protector on top. You can still feel the join if you are using your hands but no actual gap to fall down or zip to feel. It is very comfy.

Bedding is harder to find in colours but white, cream etc are fairly easy to find for a fitted sheet.

\My dd has the Hemnes and she does say it is not as comfortable as her sister's standard single bed.

Chemenger - do you think that might be because of the thinner mattresses? We're thinking of using a standard single mattress on it if that would work?

It is the mattress, although I think we upgraded it slightly from the original. It might be that it is better for a child than for her now she is an adult, (well she's 18 so she is adult sized at least)!

Our daughter has a proper single on the hemnes. We keep the thinner mattresses if it's used as a double but they're guests for only one night usually, not sleeping on it every night.

It definitely helps to do it with two people.
