Hi there, I need some help with my external decorating.
We live in a stone house which has wooden windows I recently had painted pure white.

Not it's the year I am painting the outside of the house (rear and side is not stone). The decorative brickwork around our windows and doors, what is this called? I can't find an answer on Google.

It's currently magnolia, but I think a change would be good.
I will do the rest of the outside the same colour probably. Would white be too harsh?

Any ideas?

Hope this doesn't out me, but nevermind!
Apologies if picture is wonky.

Personally I wouldn't paint the stone or the brickwork as you can never go back.

I would paint white ties in with windows, difficult to advise properly with out picture of side and rear walls. Love the blue door looks like a gorgeous house

Meant to add don't paint over the stone on the front, it looks nice

I won't paint the stone!
It would be best to have the exposed brick edging around windows and door, but it's been replaced at some point by concrete so no point in trying to expose that.
Rear and side of house are rendered.
I'm leaning towards white as love the 'fresh' look, but dh not convinced (he never is until it's finished). :)

Not sure I would go completely white, I hate magnolia but it currently looks good on your pic.

I would be inclined to just go 1 or 2 shades lighter than current, then the windows and door are tied in together a bit more (than if you went all out white).

Difficult one.
