Do I need carpet tape, spray & gripper rods?

Carpet being layed next week by a friend of a friend.

Ive bought the gripper rods but Im wondering if we need anything else?

I dont want to text him over the Easter holidays but thought I could nip into town tomorrow and get spray & tape if needed.

Door bars for the thresholds? You should only need spray adhesive if there is an area where gripper rods can't easily be fixed, such as a concrete or tiled hearth set in the floor. Have you got underlay coming as well as the carpet?

I have the carpet here in the lounge, all 4 rolls. 15ft long I know one of us is going to fall over it. I got it from a local carpet shop at the best price I could. They pricematched online prices & then 10% off as Im doing the whole house.

I ordered the Cloud 9 underlay online, It arrived the next day. Looks good.

Door bars & gripper rods from another shop due to lower price.

I might get some spray as going to ask him to put a small bit of vinyl over concrete hall, as I want real wood out there in the future.

Also the lounge is concrete, maybe we need to spray in here?

Ive been moving furniture all morning, trying to make space. Not easy with a toddler in tow.
