What colour with red/oxblood sofas?

I have to keep the sofas but have free rein with colour apart from that. I have a coupke of ideas but not confident about them.
What colour (s) would you put with dsrk red?

You could put any sort of neutral white/cream/grey/beige with that. Just check a tester against the sofa colour to check that they don't clash (e.g. some creams might be too yellowy).

I think you could also do a feature wall in a similar shade to the sofas, perhaps with wallpaper if you fancy it (I'm not a fan personally).

I was thinking of one neutral colour (creamy) and another brighter colour.

Personally, I don't mind a slightly eclectic look, so while I'd definitely consider an oxblood type colour to go with your neutral, you could also look at other colours. E.g. you might be able to find a strong green or blue that would work with the sofas.

That's music to my ears as I was thinking of pistachio or turquoise!

Pistachio sounds good, e.g. something like this?

Turquoise, not so sure about. Or were you thinking of a dark duck egg blue for example?

Yes that kind of pistachio. I'm leaning that way.

I love that colour - probably going that direction when we eventually redecorate our living room.
