Carpet for the first time in years!

Hi
We're buying a house that has cream carpets throughout. We also have 12 month old twins- should be fun.

Mt main concern is sofa colour though. We're due a new one and I would quite like a fabric one. Walls are light sage, carpet cream but I don't know what colour sofa to choose. I am not in the least bit'larey' so bright bold statements won't be me I'm afraid.

Any ideas?

Are you mad? Leather in a dark colour.

chocolate brown with some interesting / bright accent pillows?

How rude of me, it got so busy I didn't say thank you. Thank you! We went for a dark mushroom in the end- it's actually a kind of light chocolate... They're arriving in 2 weeks!
