Sofa help needed please

Hi

I have the wallpaper in the image on a few 'feature' walls, and have matched paint to the putty type colour.

My current sofa/armchairs are dark brown leather but the sofa is broken (DC diving on it) and I'm seeing it as an opportunity to add some colour.

DD has suggested blue velvet...I quite like the idea of plum/aubergine/lilac or a greeny gold type colour (can't remember the actual shade) but I also realise I might be way off the mark!!

Flooring is oak & furniture is oak too if that helps

Doh, here's the wallpaper

I think a rich purple would work - the green would work with it too. The paint and paper are fairly neutral so could take stronger colour to lift the whole thing.
