what colour walls?

Any thoughts appreciated as I am rubbish at this!

We are finally decorating our living room and have purchased lovely curtains that have teal, white, pale grey and dark grey in them.

I've also ordered a sofa in dark grey.

Do you think I should paint the walls white or pale grey?

Depends on flooring?

White.

There was a post recently on Jo Goddard's blog (American, blogs about style, decorating, parenting etc) where she mentioned painting walls white if you have colour and pattern on your furniture and accessories. Or doing colourful walls with plain or neutral furniture and accessories. Makes sense to me.

Flooring is wood. A mid brown but in good condition

Very pale grey. Cool in summer, warming in winter.

I wouldn't do stark white

There's plenty of whites with a hint of warmth
