Sofa needs cushions by tomorrow - help! (with photo)

We have visitors coming early on Saturday and have just got a new sofa for our conservatory. The cushions that I had bought to go with them are too big (50cm x 50cm) and I think they have too many colours.

Please, please give me your suggestions - what should I put on the sofa to bring it all together? I can get to a big shopping centre (Next, Debenhams, John Lewis, M&S etc). Budget not enormous!

These are the cushions I have but I don't think they go.

Take the photo or a swatch from the wallpaper and sofa with you and a tape measure if necessary and try to get something that tones with both. I have a couple of rectangular cushions which are really handy on smaller sofas. Will try to find a link to something similar. If i were you i would Keep it simple and go with 2 rectangular in the same single colour and one square in a contrasting or the other way round.

www.next.co.uk/x6d1356s1#142902x56 I don't actually think the larger cushions look bad but the spots don't look right, its like you're trying to match but not quite matching. Try the matching cushion? Or try smaller plain colours from the wallpaper.

www.next.co.uk/x6d1246s1#901407x56 next is great for cushions if you have a big store near you.

I would jack in the cushions as it looks too busy.

Either get a couple of soft, feather filled, smallish ones in deep tones like orange or ginger, or maybe pale pink? or just get a blanket or throw instead. I think an orangey throw over one arm would look fine.

It's too small for cushions anyway IMO Smile

Have you got a rug?

I'd go for smaller single coloured cushions and to pick colours from the wallpaper.

Would just go for some plain cushions tbh picking out your favourite one or two colours from the wallpaper.

Next
They also have some Orla Kiely cushions online as well but think they are to big for the sofa
You could order a a slrction on line tonight and have them delivered tomorrow, then have a look at what they look like in situ
Your room looks lovely

Pull sofa out so it is at an angle (might not be poss) and drape a throw over the nearest arm in a colour which is picked out on wallpaper, nice blue one??

amarmai · 24/12/2015 21:09

if the sofa cd go on a wall away from the wallpaper, those cushions wd prob work.
