Ceiling roses for Victorian house

Can anyone recommend a company/source?

Victorian house high ceilings - previous owners have removed all the original features . It is possible to see that the original ceiling roses were about 2' 6'' (75cm) in diameter and it would be nice to fit something tasteful and in keeping with the house, but not too expensive.

Whereabouts in the country are you? We had a company near us in Hockliffe (Beds/Bucks) that made reproduction plaster ones in a design of our choice. Apparently the diameter should be a quarter of the width of the ceiling for it to look genuine. Ours cost £45 each four years ago. I would deffs look for similar companies near you rather than go on the Internet.

We have renovated several houses now and added original features.
We found it better and of course you can claim authenticity from salvage and reclaim companies.
The modern reproductions just don't look right at all.
It's the same with cornices and picture rails, not to mention fire surrounds

NewLife are the reclaimed ones any more expensive than reproduction ones?

I think we paid pence for some things.
A real beautiful fireplace for a tenner, honestly.
Ceiling roses were fairly cheap iirc.

They are fantastic for original tiles, and the very wide skirting boards.

You have to have the time and inclination to listen to old Ted , a whole morning or afternoon but they are fab places.

If you can find one and you have the time it's a great hobby for your house, but can be time consuming and not for everyone.

Tbh, I can't remember one particular one, but furthest we have travelled was midlands and we are NW/ Greater Manc.

If you google it for your area you will find several I would think.
Then give them a call and see what they have. Some have lots of variety others can specialise or do particular things only e.g plumbing parts.
I'm not sure who would want a second hand toilet, but I suppose if they want an original house
We haven't gone quite this far.
