Post-Christmas sales - furniture

Very rookie question!

Do furniture/sofa stores tend to have post-Christmas sales? We are thinking about when to purchase a sofabed for a currently unfurnished reception room in our new house.

We got our sofabed in the John Lewis clearance. I think it usually starts just before Christmas, but possibly Boxing Day.

I think most of them have discounted prices nearly all year round.
If you have a certain store in mind then look online? I'm looking for a sofa and hopefully will buy one in the sales.

I'm hoping sofa.com have one but am starting to sense that they don't discount :(

Got mine before Xmas in a sale last year
