Just completed our new kitchen extension. It looks lovely but is very much a blank canvas and I have no idea how to make it look fab! It is a big room and needs pictures etc etc. Any ideas appreciated!

Pick a colour you like and go for it with accessories, the best thing about that is if you change your mind then you can easily start again.

We used to have lime green in a similar kitchen to yours, now we have reds. Thinking we might do light blue next but not 100% on that.

Roman blind and matching cushions would help soften things. I think I'd look at painting or papering the wall where the radiator is as it's a huge expanse with not much interest at the moment. Lovely kitchen.

Same colour scheme as my new kitchen :), I went for bright accessories. We have three barstools in lime green, yellow and royal blue and a dark pink splashback for behind the cooker, it works surprisingly well! I have also got a family picture wall with a mixture of colour and black and white photos in different style and colour frames on a wall (not everyone's cup of tea I know). I like the idea of roman blinds with cushions for the sofa as a pp mentioned.

Large block of photos and art work on plain wall
Soften with lights and plants
Tins and kitchen ware to your taste

Red is incredibly versatile and there are multiple shades that would really pop in a kitchen, either on the cabinets or the walls.
