The kitchen is cream shaker style with wooden worktops. I'm not sure what type of tan

I've got a gorgeous one from west elm which is made from reclaimed ships' pallets. All depends on style you're going for?

I have this one from John Lewis - have had it three years and it looks new despite toddlers. It was a good price too.

You could pair it with white/wooden chairs or more colourful ones for a more modern look. I have a mix of bright coloured Tolix style and some a bit like these. We have a mix of shaker and 20th C modern in the kitchen and dining room.

The John Lewis tables all look good and are built to last!

Thanks for your replies, I have only just realised that I actually posted as my tablet battery died mid-post!

I had already looked at the John Lewis tablet and really liked it but wasn't sure about the colour with cream kitchen units. I also need to get a dresser, possibly matching the table, and can't decide whether both in cream would look too much or if both in grey would look odd with the units...

"table" not "tablet"!

if it helps, they call the colour grey, but it looks closer to white/off white, it is not especially 'cool'
