MASSIVE throws for covering ugly sofa; do they exist?

At the moment, we have two cream Ikea throws per sofa, which slip and ruche and fall off all the fecking time. I want to find one massive throw per two-seater that covers it completely.

The sofas are very old and worn, but incredibly comfortable, and I don't want to replace them yet.

I'd be very grateful for any ideas!

Yes....Amazon and Ebay do them. Personally I found that the best, non slippy way of covering a bad sofa was with big, fleece throws from Primark....two large ones....one goes over the seat part and is tucked down the back of the cushions with plenty to spare and the other goes over the back rest part and is also secured by tucking into the gap between the cushions and the backrest.

It's an art...one born of years of shitty sofas. Grin

Throwing large throws on will ALWAYS result in rucks and creases but two, tucked in will be fine....and Primark fleece throws are cheap and pretty.

Does that mean you have two layers over the arms THOTL?

I use 4 fleece blankets from ikea. One over the back which is tucked under the cushions. One wrapped around the seat cushions and tucked in. Then one for each arm - folded to size for over the arms, again tucked in under the seating cushions. I have found this way means you have to rearrange and straighten the least. Plus, you can rotate the blankets if a little dirty (the sitting one gets the most) rather than washing if short of time.

The way my sofa is, I end up with enough spare from the back throw that I can drape and tuck the arms away.

If your sofa is different then Profs way of doing it will be good too.

Thanks, everyone!
