Buying blinds online

Does anyone have any tips or recommendations for buying blinds online?

I have a square bay window and window is L-shaped and is like Venetian blinds so I guess I'll need 2 separate?

Has anyone else done this? How will I measure to make sure they fit?

Are any online blind places any good?

TIA

I've bought blinds from blinds247 before now. As long as you measure accurately it's fine. I was very happy with my purchase. There is a comprehensive measuring guide on their website and they arrived made to measure within days.
Great prices too.

I've own 4 homes and I always buy my blinds from blindsonline.com
They have very good videos on the site explaining how to measure and how to install various types of blinds and shades. their prices are pretty good too.

Oh and I forget to say that they offer advice by calling them on the phone if you need help figuring out what type of blinds to get.

I really like www.grahamsandersoninteriors.com for made to measure curtains & blinds. Lots of fabrics & lovely finishing. More expensive than blinds247 or blinds2go (I've had blinds from both of those suppliers) but the quality is so much nicer. You'd expect it though as they are more money (how much more depends on the fabric you choose, as the cost per metre varies so much).

Oh, they don't do Venetian though. Only Roman. Sorry.

We ordered from blindsonline too, they were very helpful over the phone and all the blinds were a perfect fit. Very reasonable too!

I have used blindsonline and blinds247. Always order a sample, they are quick to arrive.

If you aren't very competent at DIY then a local non-branded blind shop is probably a better option. We have a square bay with french doors and chose perfect fit blinds for that, but had a local company come and fit them.

All other windows have roller/roman/venetian which we have fitted ourselves.

Yes, I agree with narcheska. If you have truly awkward or difficult windows that you don't feel comfortable measuring or fitting, get a local curtain maker/interiors/soft furnishings person in (NOT Hilary's!). We did it with an awkward bay and the blinds still look great 10 years on.
