Redecorating a small sitting room. It's south facing so gets lots of light - has a big curved bay window.

Existing curtains are a cream background with a pinky bright red and some dark purple.

Sofa will be dark grey. TV unit and a sideboard cupboard will probably be from the Dormy House and be in their French Grey or Ivory.

Thinking of a warm grey with purple undertones and possibly a different colour on the wall the TV unit will be on - either darker shade of other walls or a more berry type colour.

Have trawled through a few threads looking for suggestions for the grey and have a few on my list to try :

Dulux - Perfectly Taupe, Just Walnut, Misty Mountain

F&B - Elephants Breath

I've tried Dulux Dusted Damson for the TV wall but it's too pinky purple. Room will get heavy teen boy use.

Wondering if anyone had any other suggestions?

Have you seen Dulux Classics range? there's a colour called Pressed Thistle which is a greyish purple! We used it in the bedroom and although it looks very purple in the tin, it looks more grey on the wall....

Thanks - I think it's a bit more of a bluey purple than I was thinking.

Dulux classics are lovely! Very popular too

Have you thought of colour matching? Or just take a fabric sample to b and q and compare using the valspar chip cards. 2,000 to chooser from
