Kids beds with storage

DD2 isnt far from outgrowing her Junior bed. Looking for a bed with some kind of storage but not a high or mid sleeper. She's a fidgety sleeper and I worry about her falling out. (like my friends daughter who ended up in hospital with concussion!)

Cant see anything I like though.
I like this with the shelves but not as a bunk. Anyone seen anything like this?

Alternatively there's the ottoman beds. Anyone one of these? Good or bad?

Ikea do one that fits the bill but it has black drawers (white frame) so might not be the look you're aiming for?

It would be hard to fall out of a mid-sleeper as they have a rail all the way round apart from the gap where the ladder is, so don't completely rule them out.

They're great if you get the sort that just has the space underneath as you can put shelves, drawers or just piled up storage boxes under there and have curtains around it to hide it all away.

We have what might be called mid sleepers from next. Higher than a normal single but not by much, just one step up, and as pp says, a wooden bar to prevent falling out. It has cube storage underneath, which is great for toys/ books etc.

www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/00228705/ Looks quite good but wish it as abit more girly/pretty. DD's junior bed is a daybed with a pretty scalloped back.

We've just bought this for DD which isn't pretty but I'm going all out elsewhere in the room!

Funnily enough DD has that Tam Tam bed and just fell out of it! She's nearly 9 and was probably doing some sort of sleepwalking so I cannot allay your fears on that score.

She's just about to get her own bedroom anyway (been sharing with her brother till now) and I'm getting her this one. www.amazon.co.uk/Cloudseller-Single-Captain-Storage-Bedframe/dp/B006ZYU9S8

I've not assembled it yet so can't comment on looks irl but it's got good reviews.
