We've just moved in to our new house, all going well except we've realised this the kitchen has very little storage space and we need some more. This is the 1 work top we have, 1 of those cupboards is a boiler.

We have this space that isn't really doing anything, what would you do with it to make it useful? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I can see with the appliances there isn't much.

Wall units opposite the main bank of units above the radiator. They're not as deep as base units so you should still be able to fit a table and chairs if you want to.

You could also put a window seat in with storage inside - a joiner could make something to fit the space and you can put doors on to match the existing units.

Or, because I don't know what the rest of the layout is and can't quite figure out where the doorway is, you could put at least one full height unit in - some sort of larder unit - in a corner.

Or, if the room is wide enough - looks as though it could be - put an island run down the centre of the room with units underneath and breakfast bar on the side facing the cooker or even some sort of table top at one end.

If there is somewhere else the washing machine could go, it would be worth seeing if it can be moved. Then you don't have the noise of it on when you are eating/entertaining.

If you aren't going to eat in there then put base units in the opposite wall too and gain extra worktop. You could still perhaps fit a small table in the window area. I wish our kitchen were that big!
