Making your own Lightshade??

I have some fabric to match some curtains. I was thinking about making a drum lightshade with it.

I could just buy a cheap frame and put the material on myself.

Is it safe? A fire risk???

Seen loads of these tutorials on YouTube, Cath Kidston being one of them

I need to look for that pack.

Do you think the material needs to be fire retardant?
