We are having a mini refurb of our kitchen prior to selling. It's a huge kitchen diner with black/red Victorian check board floor tiles (which were not planning to change). The dining end is very light but the biggest expanse of kitchen is quite dark. There are a lot of units - shaker style, newly painted a mid grey. One wall is bare (yellowish brick). I'm struggling with a wall colour - it was previously a deep (f&b) red. I don't want to use f&b because I hate how it goes on (badly imo). I originally chose a dulux white/grey (think it was called pebble?) but it's too cold/bleak/grey on grey with the cabinets. I really don't want a 'colour' so am looking for a warm neutral - any ideas please?

Could you post a photo?

A picture would be easier but from what I can gather from your description, I would mix a light/mid red to tie in with the floor tiles and one that also ties in with the bare wall (if it's brick?).

i would go with a gentle sage green / grey. can't say for sure without photos.

Dulux centres will mix up F&B colours but in dulux paint and you therefore avoid the issue of needing about 7 coats!!! So if you want an F&B colour i think something like skimming stone, old white (not white at all but greeny/grey) or Elephants Breath might look nice

I know the pebble colour and also didn't like it. Have you seen Egyptian Cotton? Might be too bland though paired with your cupboards.
